My week was mixed. I ate good meals for the most part and I am hoping the areas I slipped didn't hurt me too bad. The part that may get me will be the lack of exercise. It was rainy and yuck all week and so I just wasn't motivated. And on the nights it wasn't yucky, we were going out to dinner. You may be thinking that I sure do eat a lot of the same foods, but that is really not the case. I do switch up my breakfast. I just get into a groove for a week or two then I switch things up.

Week in review:
Day 1
Breakfast: 1 pck instant original grits with 1 slice of double fiber wheat toast with organic peanut butter spread thinly on top and 1 20 ounce Diet Mtn Dew. Lunch: left over Cider Brine Pork Chop with oven baked onions stuffed with spinach and Feta Cheese. 1 packet of cleanse and restore with 20 ounce water. Dinner: Crockpot Beef Roast served over 1 serving of rice with a 16 ounce glass of sweet tea. 3 glasses of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Day 2
Breakfast: 1 pck instant original grits with 1 slice of double fiber wheat toast with organic peanut butter spread thinly on top and 1 20 ounce Diet Mtn Dew. Lunch: Left over Beef roast and rice (about 2 spoonfuls). 1 Skinny Cow ice cream Sandwich. 1 packet of cleanse and restore with 20 ounce water. Dinner: Smoked Sesame Pork Tenderloin (I had about 8 slices...very small slices) with 1 serving Collard Greens and 1 serving Navy Beans with 10 ounce glass of Sweet Tea and 1 20 ounce Diet Mtn Dew.
Day 3
Breakfast: 1 pck instant original grits and 1 20 ounce Diet Mtn Dew. Lunch: Left over Pork Tenderloin (6 slices), 1/2 serving collard greens and 1/2 serving navy beans, 5 bite size dark chocolate candies and 1 20 ounce Diet Mtn Dew. 1 Fun Size Twix and 1 fun size Peanut M&M packet, 1 16 ounce Cheerwine. Dinner: Country Style Steak with Mac and Cheese and Fried Okra...yikes! and 2 16 ounce glasses of very Sweet Tea. But hey, I opted out of the banana pudding.
Day 4
Breakfast: 1 pck instant original grits and 1 20 ounce Diet Mtn Dew. Lunch: Blackened Chicken Salad (spinach, cucumbers, egg, slivered almonds and pepperjack cheese with ranch tossed in...from Crisp...my fave) and a 12 ounce Diet Coke. 1 bite size dark chocolate candy. 1 20 ounce Diet Mtn Dew. Dinner: 2 slices Mellow Mushroom White pizza with tomatoes, pepperoni, mushrooms and cheese with 2 Mecktoberfest Drafts (normal size). I had a large bowl of Breyers Chocolate ice cream. I didn't measure it out, I just scooped and scooped...OK, this is my weakness.
Day 5
Breakfast: 1 serving Corn Beef Hash and 2 eggs over medium with a 20 ounce Diet Coke. had an additional 16 ounce Diet Coke. Lunch: a hot dog, with small size chip bag and 1 serving homemade chili to which I added a hand full of cheese and 2 teaspoons of sour cream, 12 ounce Diet Coke. Hey, no judgements...it was for a good cause. Judge here instead: another bowl of Breyers Chocolate ice cream...no measuring. Dinner: 1/2 of a rib from a BBQ, 1 spoonful of potato salad and 3 Flying Dog Beers and a late...late night bowl of leftover beef roast with rice.
Day 6
Breakfast: 3 slices of bacon with 2 eggs scrambled with cheese and shredded hashbrowns with a slice of cheese to which I added Ketchup...yep...Waffle House. I accompanied all of that with 2 16 ounce Diet Cokes. 1 16 ounce Diet Mtn Dew. Lunch: we went to the NC State Fair and I feel like I did pretty good...considering. I had 1 small lemonade, 1 Nathan's all beef hot dog with ketchup and chili, 2 12 ounce diet cokes and 1 cup homemade Strawberry ice cream. On the way home, I did break down and have 1 grab bag of Sour Cream and Onion chips (300 calories...yikes!!) and a diet Mtn Dew. Dinner: 4 ounce Filet Mignon with 1 serving collard greens and 1 serving black-eyed peas with a 10 ounce glass of sweet tea. I also had 1 12 ounce Flying Dog beer.
I consider walking around the fair for 5 hours my exercise for the day.
Day 7
Breakfast: 1/2 of an everything bagel with a little cream cheese and 1 20 ounce Diet Mtn Dew. Lunch: 1 60 ounce Filet Mignon, with 1/2 serving of Collard greens and 1/2 serving of Black Eyed Peas. 20 ounce Cleanse and Restore mixed with water refilled once. 2 Dark Chocolate bite size candies. Snack: 1 slice of double fiber peanut butter toast. Another Snack...later on: 7 cheese cubes. Dinner: Red Snapper filet with sauteed zucchini, squash and mushrooms. 1 12 ounce Flying Dog beer. 1 bowl of Breyers ice cream. I don't have the Red Snapper recipe on hand, but here is kind of what we did...we made a marinade that consisted of olive oil, ground ginger, rice wine vinegar, green onions, Dijon mustard and honey. We dipped the fish and cooked it on both sides for about 2-3 minutes and then added the marinade int he pan and let it cook for about 2 minutes. The veggies...we cubed them and I added about 3 slices of butter, a dash of cayenne pepper, a few dashes of pepper, a dash of ground ginger, garlic powder to taste and Jane's Crazy Mixed Up Salt to taste.
This was not the best week for exercise and it showed in my weigh in...gained 1 pound:(. I do see areas I need to improve so wish me luck as I begin week 3.
